The Iraqi Interior Ministry, dominated by one of the Shi’a parties in the governing coalition, is systematically using torture.
We can’t leave Iraq because, if we did, the country might fall into the grip of a bunch of religious fanatics who deal with their opponents by pulling out their fingernails.
