Harold Pollack is Helen Ross Professor of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. He has served on three expert committees of the National Academies of Science. His recent research appears in such journals as Addiction, Journal of the American Medical Association, and American Journal of Public Health. He writes regularly on HIV prevention, crime and drug policy, health reform, and disability policy for American Prospect, tnr.com, and other news outlets. His essay, "Lessons from an Emergency Room Nightmare" was selected for the collection The Best American Medical Writing, 2009. A college friend of my mother's from Belfast had two sons who obstinately refused to leave home for any reason. She finally left herself.
I'm sure she has a good head on her shoulders. It's going to be just fine.
The title is a good sign. Everything healthy here. A year, not likely more than two, the subsequent title is going to be something like: wouldn't you like to go out to dinner, and maybe we can stop by the grocery store? My only is in grad school now across the country, sniff.
