Why is Edwards’s adultery a problem for Barack Obama rather than for the adulterer he’s running against?

John Edwards cheated on his wife when she was dying of cancer.

John McCain cheated on his (first) wife (with his current wife) when wife #1 was (as she still is) wheelchair-bound.

This, of course, spells trouble … for Barack Obama..
