Slime & defend: Fitzgerald next?

Per Thomas DeFrank of the New York Daily News, it seems that the White House is starting to flex its mud-slinging muscles:
"He's a vile, detestable, moralistic person with no heart and no conscience who believes he's been tapped by God to do very important things," one White House ally said, referring to special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald.
Update Hmmm... vile, detestable, moralistic, no heart, no conscience, mission from God ... Sound like anyone you've voted against recently? The Modulator thinks he detects a wee bit of projection.
