Lincoln on the apologists for "torture-lite"

Whenever I hear anyone arguing for slavery, I feel a strong impulse to see it tried on him personally.
Just substitute "waterboarding" or "sleep deprivation" or "hypothermia" for "slavery."
This issue is dividing the actual conservatives from the cowardly sado-fascists who think it's fine if we imitate the KGB as long as we don't imitate the Spanish Inquisition. Apparently the sado-fascists constitute a majority of Republican primary voters.
