I've never been accused of Francophilia, but I do respect their...insouciance (joie de vivre? pied-à-terre?). We'll see an alien-abductee Scientologist in the White House before a First Lady who
is monogamous from time to time, as she remarked to the magazine Le Figaro Madame. "But I prefer polygamy and polyandry," she said.
