He what?? !! ...so he could WHAT??!!!

Update: A couple of readers point out that this is over-the-top in view of unfolding news; backoff here.

Now this gives "to have and to hold, in sickness and in health" a whole new meaning.

TB is spread feebly by casual public content (coughing in public places) but effectively by prolonged, intimate contact in closed spaces. If you have XDR-TB, and know it, what kind of person insists not just on flying for hours in an airplane with hundreds of strangers, but on having a wedding and a honeymoon and then going to get treated. Unless I'm missing something, this is an appalling display of sociopathic behavior, that should score at least a quick divorce from the poor woman he foisted his bugs on and maybe a nice spousal abuse lawsuit. What on earth is the matter with this guy (a lawyer, no less: does the Georgia bar have a character committee?)?

PS: XDR-TB is very bad stuff; here's the WHO:

5. Can XDR-TB be cured or treated?

Yes, in some cases. Several countries with good TB control programmes have shown that cure is possible for up to 30% of affected people...

I hope she got a really, really, big rock in her engagement ring.
