Some statistics on OSHA's enforcement performance:
2200 workplace deaths due to wilful violations of safety laws by employers.
104 prosecutions
16 jail sentences
Maximum sentence: 6 months
"Obviously we're not going to support the expansion of criminal penalties," says the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Where's the outrage?
If I were running for President, I'd make this scandal part of my stock speech.
