Yes, the Democrats need to tie Republican corruption to the larger issue of Republican subservience to special interests. And we also need to point out that corruption does real damage to things real people really care about. For example, the millions of dollars Duke Cunningham stole, and the tens of millions of dollars he helped his bribors steal, came out of the defense budget. That money could have been used for, let's say, body armor.
