Be Afraid: John McCain's Attorney GeneralThe Washington Post seems to be interested in John McCain's VP selection for all the ordinary and all the macabre reasons. In keeping with McCain's embrace of the GOP establishment, they find that he will pick a safe right-winger.
But that's not the real question: what I want to know is who will be his Attorney General. And the answer to that question is deeply scary.
Just think about it: a President will want an AG whom he knows well, whom he trusts, whom he gets along with personally, and who has Justice Department experience. And for a President McCain, that could be only one person:
Rudy Giuliani.
If that isn't enough to get someone to vote against McCain, I don't know what is.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
