A good year for Kumabya?

Frank Rich says something that must have HRC's handlers tearing their hair out:
Mrs. Clinton’s shrill campaign continues to cast her as Nixon to Mr. Obama’s Kennedy.
Rich makes another point I hadn't thought of: against the sheer nastiness of this year's crop of Republican candidates, the non-hostile persona that some in the netroots deride as Obama's "Kumbaya routine" might play very well with the voters.
