Can the Republicans Defend America?--Part II

It's bad enough that the administration has caused a manpower crisis in the United States armed forces. After it has created a completely incompetent bureaucracy unable to defend the country, it now has decided to outsource homeland security to the United Arab Emirates--a country not likely to see its interests as dovetailing with the United States.

No matter, says DHS Secretary Michael Cherthoff, "We have a very disciplined process, it's a classified process, for reviewing any acquisition by a foreign company of assets that we consider relevant to national security." Of course they can't share any details of this process: we should just trust them. Afterpresiding over the fiasco of nonexistent WMDs--one of the greatest intelligence failures in the history of American national security--somehow this doesn't make me sleep any easier.

Again--why is it that the Mainstream Media thinks that the Democrats need to demonstrate their national security bona fides?
