 Wish-I'd-said-that Dep't

Voltaire, Lettres Anglaises, XIII:

Les superstitieux sont dans la société ce que les poltrons sont dans une armée: ils ont et donnent des terreurs paniques.

(The superstitious are in society what cowards are in an army: they have, and give to others, panic terrors.)

Just remember: Being superstitious is bad luck.

It's especially bad luck when Friday the 13th comes a day early, as it did last week.
