Our friends at the Republican convention were more than happy to talk about everything they think is wrong with America, but they didnâ€™t have much to say about how theyâ€™d make it right. They want your vote, but they donâ€™t want you to know their plan. And thatâ€™s because all they have to offer is the same prescription theyâ€™ve had for the last thirty years:
â€œHave a surplus? Try a tax cut.â€
â€œDeficit too high? Try another.â€
â€œFeel a cold coming on? Take two tax cuts, roll back some regulations, and call us in the morning.â€
Do the Democrats have the nerve to make the Republicans’ lack of policy specificity a campaign issue? Looks that way.
