Today is, of course, New Year’s. But it’s also a Binary Day – 1/1/10. It’s the first such day since 11/11/01. Don’t worry if you missed, it, though: we have 1/10/10 and 1/11/10 coming up soon.
Binary Days are celebrated by exercising two-valued logic, seeing the world in terms of yes-or-no rather than more-or-less.
And we’ll get a nice batch of binary days next year also.
I can’t celebrate any holiday that demands I think like a Republican politician!

Yesterday was the last day this year Americans and most of the rest of the world will agree on the value of one of these days, as Jan 10 is regarded only 11/13 as highly by them as by us. Obviously we are entirely correct, and they are completely wrong, about this, like so many things…
And today is palindrome day 01022010 if you use US style dates (DDMMYYYY).
Let’s just hope that the most recent Republican vice presidential candidate doesn’t drone on today, because then it would be a palindrone day as well. Sorry.
