I endorse all of Mark’s comments on the Specter switch except for #7. Blue Blogistan should be very clear on this principle:
If the Minnesota Supreme Court rules that Franken has been legitimately elected, then a GOP filibuster to block his seating is unconstitutional, and President of the Senate Biden should so rule. Franken can and should be seated by a simple majority.
Reasoning here: even more true than it was when I first wrote it, or when I wrote it again. There is simply no reason to back down from following clear Supreme Court precedent.
