Disbarment? Sounds about right to me. I have some sympathy for the people who carried out the orders. For John Yoo, not so much.
I don’t think I agree with Brad DeLong that the Berkelely Faculty Senate should take action. Only the law professors – and not all of them – have the requisite professional chops. This is a problem, in the first instance, mostly for the Justice Department and the Pennsylvania Bar to handle. Should Yoo be authoritatively found to have committed professional misconduct, that will be the time to start the faculty discipline process.
