You have to feel sorry for Ashley Todd. No one without serious, serious issues would do what she did. But it’s hard not to laugh at her reported comment after she had ‘fessed up:
She was upset with the media for blowing this into a political firestorm.
Gee, I wonder who told her that “the media” and Scary Black Men are the national enemy?
Update Greg Sargent at TPM fingers Peter Feldman, the communications director for the McCain campaign in Pennsylvania, as having pushed the “B for Barack” story. Apparently the Scaife TV station has pushed the relevant grafs down the memory hole, but Sargent has the screenshot.
A TPM commenter asks “When will John McCain repudiate Peter Feldman?” Good question. I’m betting on the Twelfth of Never.
