If that’s David Brooks’s opinion of Sarah Palin and her continuation of the contempt for ideas and proud ignorance of George W. Bush, then what does Brooks think of the guy who plucked her from her richly-deserved obscurity and tried to put her one unreliable heartbeat from the Presidency?
Remember the turtle sitting on a fencepost: you know she doesn’t belong there, you know she didn’t get there by herself, you know she can’t do anything useful there or gracefully climb down, and you just wonder what stupid sonuvabitch decided to put her there.
