Andrew Sullivan on McCain’s “Hamas is for Obama” ploy:
Honorable campaigns do not allow foreign agents, especially terrorist organizations, to insert themselves into American presidential politics.
To which I can only add: the leadership of Hamas surely understands American politics well enough to know that their “endorsement” of Obama helps McCain. So the logical conclusion is that Hamas wants McCain in office to continue the Bush policies that have done so much for the cause of Islamic terrorism around the world.
And I think Sullivan has crafted Obama’s optimal response:
Sen. McCain seems willing to let the terrrorists choose our President for us. I’m not. I guess the voters will have to decide.
