It’s never easy judging just how low the Republican politician-lobbyist-and-pundit class will go to keep a Democrat out of the White House. I was starting to get the feeling that Mike Huckabee might be a bridge too far for many of them. But both this WSJ editorial and Bill Kristol’s inaugural screed in the NYT treat Huckabee as a serious and potentially acceptable candidate rather than as the Mayberry Mullah.

Conclusion: Olaf couldn’t have made a career in today’s GOP.
