is the title of a new book by Ethan Brown on the abuses of the system by which criminals get sentence reductions in return for their testimony against others: testimony which may or may not bear any resemblance to the truth. I agree with Brown that the system has evils built-in; he believes, but I don’t, that it can and should be abolished.
