Secretary Gates tells a bit of truth I don’t think he intended to tell:
After all, Saddam Hussein launched wars against several of his neighbors. He was trying to develop weapons of mass destruction, certainly when we went in, in 1991.
That is, Gates can’t even bring himself to say that Iraq was working on WMDs, let alone that Iraq actually had them, when WMDs were the excuse for the invasion of 2003.
