… and Fred Thompson’s campaign spokesman is a double-breasted liar.
Thompson spokesman Mark Corallo adamantly denied that Thompson worked for the family planning group. “Fred Thompson did not lobby for this group, period,” he said in an e-mail. In a telephone interview, he added: “There’s no documents to prove it, there’s no billing records, and Thompson says he has no recollection of it, says it didn’t happen.”
Some of Ol’ Fred’s fans are still drinking the Kool-Aid …
… and others aren’t.
Still curious to know if someone has looked at the WH visitor and phone logs to see which officials Thompson lobbied for more than three hours. If Thompson has no memory of lobbying at all, then how can he be certain he never talked to John Sununu?
With Romney apparently geared up to go after Thompson’s lobbying practice, I don’t think this one will be allowed to die.
