I’ve long thought that Rudy Giuliani had serious character disorders: serious enough to disqualify him for the Presidency. But I never thought he was a fool.
Now I have my doubts.
It appears that Giuliani wants to run for President as the pro-war candidate. Yes, that may get him the nomination. But it virtually guarantees his defeat in the general election. Even Hillary “Wish-I-didn’t-know-now-what-I-didn’t-know-then” Clinton will run against Mr. Bush’s war. And, barring some sort of political-military miracle in Iraq, that’s going to be the winning position.
