Remember back in February when CBS ran a poll showing Bush’s job performance down to 34%? Various provinces of Red Blogistan were all over the story like a cheap suit, attacking the sampling, the weighting, and the morals of the pollsters. The true number, they said, couldn’t possibly be that low, and of course everyone knows that CBS is part of the liberal mainstream media.
The latest Fox News poll has the Beloved Leader at 33%. (If you really want to see some plain and fancy biased polling, read the text of the Fox questions on immigration and the economy.)

Random and off-topic, but is this not the kind of polling question one asks looking for a particular result?
“10. Do you think illegal immigrants from Mexico should be given special
treatment and allowed to jump in front of immigrants from other countries
that want to come to the United States legally, or not?”
Jump in front?
Look at this question too:
“9. Do you think it is appropriate for retired military generals to openly criticize Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld during wartime or not?”
In spite of the tendentious “in wartime”, 57% agreed – and 36% of Republicans.
And what is a non-military general, outside the Jesuits and the Salvation Army?
I’m glad you asked this question, because yes I DO remember that dust-up. And subsequent polls that had him in the low 40s to high 30s and subsequent declarations of media bias, poll unreliability, and so on. I have been waiting to see if another poll would find him dropping down to the low 30s, and–cherry on top–can’t believe our luck that it’s FOX!
Beloved Leader?!?!? Um, when you’re approval rating is down to 33%, that means that even some conservatives don’t approve of him. He’s already lost Dems and Independents. Conservatives are the only ones left that will drive that number lower.
