It’s bad enough that the administration has caused a manpower crisis in the United States armed forces. After it has created a completely incompetent bureaucracy unable to defend the country, it now has decided to outsource homeland security to the United Arab Emirates–a country not likely to see its interests as dovetailing with the United States.
No matter, says DHS Secretary Michael Cherthoff, “We have a very disciplined process, it’s a classified process, for reviewing any acquisition by a foreign company of assets that we consider relevant to national security.” Of course they can’t share any details of this process: we should just trust them. Afterpresiding over the fiasco of nonexistent WMDs–one of the greatest intelligence failures in the history of American national security–somehow this doesn’t make me sleep any easier.
Again–why is it that the Mainstream Media thinks that the Democrats need to demonstrate their national security bona fides?
