The irony that we are discussing nuclear exchange between Iran and Israel is extreme. Persian-Jewish relations have been good for at least a couple of millenia, on the whole, and under the Shah, Israel and Iran were thick as thieves. When I was in Iran in the 70s it was widely believed that Mossad was training SAVAK. It’s remarkable that at least for now the historical Persian-Arab enmity has been trumped by Shia-Sunni enmity. Of course transcendence of nationality and ethnicity was what the prophet expected of his new religion…
