Cautiously, political experts are beginning to wonder whether the anti-Republican backlash visible in the polling numbers might be enough to overcome the power of the gerrymander:

Republicans have done a good job building levees, but we haven’t seen them tested in a Category 5 storm.

Now would be a good time to write next year’s check to the DCCC, or to your favorite Democratic challenger for a Republican-held seat.
