In reply to my earlier query, a reader points me to a site called DC’s Inside Scoop, which has published what it says is the complete text of the talking points circulated to Republican Senators citing the political gains to be made from pushing the Schiavo bill. Inside Scoop reports that rumors attribute the talking points to Santorum’s office. (If true, and if provable, that ought to give Pennsylvania Democrats reason to smile.)
The item is labeled “exclusive,” so I won’t quote the full text here. Other than the two explosive points already reported (one about mobilizing the base and one about squeezing Bill Nelson) there’s nothing exciting.
