Dan Drezner reports on yet another discouraged expert who thinks the Bush Administration blew it in Iraq. Larry Diamond is such a partisan Democrat that he has left his job with the CPA to go back to being a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.

Larry Diamond is indeed an expert, but he’s also a Democrat who has previously expressed a lack of enthusiasm for GWB. Or so a reader who is also a Stanford student reports. Another reader notes that Diamond was an Edwards foreign policy adviser. My bad.
