The more I think about this comment, the more bizarre and dimwitted it seems:

Had I known that the enemy was going to use airplanes to strike America, to attack us, I would have used every resource, every asset, every power of this government to protect the American people.

The President of the United States, if informed in advance about an attack on the country, would have tried to defend against that attack. Amazing!

Does Mr. Bush really not understand that the question is how he and his advisers failed to know that an attack was coming?

Did he expect Osama bin Laden to send him a telegram?
