John Isbell at Open Source Politics tells of his reactions to a wide range of religious services. (His description of a Friends’ Meeting seemed especially good to me, worth reading against Voltaire’s thoughts in the Lettres Anglaises. I wish that all of those who describe themselves as “brights,” suggesting that believers are somehow “dim,” would read Isbell’s account and reflect on it.
