And speaking of cases in which Attorney General Ashcroft has to choose between his party loyalty and his oath of office: when are we going to have a grand jury on the attempt to bribe a Member of Congress on the floor of the House? Tim Noah has been all over this one.

Of course, this is just about the bribe attempt that failed. Shouldn’t a grand jury be inquiring into how many succeeded? It’s more than possible that the Medicare bill passed with purchased votes.
