About Ahmed Chalabi, apparently the neoconservatives’ candidate for President of Iraq:
Can anyone tell me:
— How he made his money, or how much he has?
— The details of the bank-fraud charges on which he is a fugitive from Jordanian justice? I’m happy to believe he was framed, but I’d like some details.
— How much of his money flowed, directly or indirectly, into the pockets or campaign coffers of the people who are trying to put him into power? If he’s clever enough to rule Iraq, he’s surely clever enough to get around American campaign finance laws.
— Why the CIA and State Department seem to hate him so much? Or is it just that they’re agin whatever the Rumsfeld crowd is fer?
