So the Bush Administration — this time with the President doing some of the dirty work himself — has decided to threaten the Mexican government with a backlash against Mexican-Americans unless Mexico votes with us on Iraq. (Yes, the President’s own remarks might refer only to wrecking the Mexican economy, but combined with the remarks of the unnamed “diplomat” quoted in The Economist — which, if you’re wondering, is strongly pro-war — their meaning could hardly be clearer.)
Are these folks absolutely incapable of not acting like a bunch of small-town goons?
Democrats should sure no Mexican-American voter fails to hear about this.
